In 2018, Marc A. Burton served as the statewide Voter Protection Director for the Florida Democratic Party. Prior to that, in 2016, Marc A. Burton served as the Florida Voter Protection Special Projects Director for the Florida Democratic Party and the Presidential Clinton.Campaign of Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton.
As of 2019, Marc A. Burton serves as General Counsel to the Miami-Dade Democratic Party.
Richard J. Burton
Attorney Richard J. Burton was the elected Fire Commissioner of Miami-Dade County, Florida from 1988-1992.

Since 2000, Richard J. Burton has remained an active member of the Florida Democratic Party's voter protection program, having worked on numerous presidential and midterm election campaigns.
Daniel J. Poterek
In 2016, Attorney Daniel J. Poterek represented a newly naturalized United States citizen and successfully worked to have Florida's voter registration deadline extended by court order, after Florida had been hit by a hurricane.
In 2018, Daniel J. Poterek served as Miami-Dade County Counsel for the Florida Democratic Party's voter protection program, including for the election campaigns of Andrew Gillum for Governor, Bill Nelson for Senate, and Nikki Fried for Florida Commissioner of Agriculture. Daniel J. Poterek argued before the Miami-Dade County Canvassing Board in the 2018 election recounts affecting those three candidates.
In 2017-2018, The Burton Firm served as co-lead counsel in a lawsuit brought by the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida and the Florida Immigrant Coalition against the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, and Vice President Mike Pence.
